Highly Anticipated ITEI Certified Tea Sommelier Courses by International Tea Education Institute
Montreal, QC (PRWEB) May 14, 2014 -- Become an ITEI Certified Tea Sommelier and find out how this special Course prepares for a Tea Career or it helps enhance an existing one.
Training Part 1 in English starts in Diepholz, Germany, June 1-4, 2014 at the same time as the famous Japanese Shincha Tea Festival at the KEIKO Tea House. http://www.keiko.de
The 4-day, on-site training classes are held from 9.00AM to 5:00PM.
This is a unique opportunity to participate and witness during day 1 of the training the celebratory ambiance the Japanese are known for when they rush to acquire the tender new fresh spring tea leaves and buds harvested early April.
Shincha (New Tea) reminds us of the Japanese time philosophy and how a saying "each tea exists for just a short moment in time" makes us realize that we only have each unique tea for a moment until it is gone. You will learn to appreciate each and every tea as it arrives and Shincha tea, a seasonal rarity in limited quantities is your gate for tea appreciation until the next season. And so time flows!
During this unique and exceptional 4-day class, participants are introduced to an authentic Japanese Tea Ceremony presentation and exposed to KEIKO TEA's extensive collection of Japanese artisan tea accessories and utensils, let alone over 25 types of Japanese authentic shaded organic green teas.
Among various educational tea activities, students will be able to watch the matcha tea grinders and taste the freshest matcha drinks prepared by a tea mixologist on-site.
Throughout the course, lunch is served and prepared by a German chef specialized in cooking with tea, vegan, vegeterian, meat, fish, poultry cuisine and desserts.
Tea and food pairings as well as building tea lists for the hospitality industry are topics covered during the training in Part 1 and Part 2.
The training is led by International Tea Education Institute founder and world tea expert Sylvana. P. Levesque from Canada and other well known tea professionals and experts from Europe.
During the 4-day training, participants will discover and conduct Professional tastings of some of the world’s rarest and finest teas from China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, India, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Vietnam and more.
Students may experiment with tea utensils and equipment available on site during the 3-day program as well as during the Certification final exam.
We highly recommend participants acquire the Professional Tea Training various Starter Kits available on demand. Students may also make their own selection of tea utensils from an extensive on-site collection when participating at our 4-day program.
Please refer to the end of this release for hotel accommodations.
Upon completion of Part One of the training, students leave with all necessary educational material, books and over 40 tea samples to continue Part 2 of the training from distance and from the comfort of their homes and offices whereever they are in the world.
Students meet periodically via Skype with the trainers during the next 16 weeks while studying, researching and completing various essays and some written exams. The dates and times of such periodic online meetings shall be jointly discussed and confirmed with the class based on a global agenda.
