Hiddleston Leads the Pack as Stars Get Crafty For Charity
London (PRWEB UK) 13 May 2014 -- A range of stars from award-winning actors to critically acclaimed artists have put their craft skills on show, all in aid of Coram, the UK’s first ever children’s charity.
Award-winning actor Benedict Cumberbatch, best-selling Fifty Shades of Grey author EL James, sixties icon Twiggy, and Downton Abbey’s Phyllis Logan are just a few of the stars to have designed unique cards for the Cards for Keeps charity auction. But it is Tom Hiddleston – star of the Marvel films – who leads the way. Bidding for Tom’s heart design card has topped the £2,000 mark, with seven days still left to run on the auction.
The campaign, launched by leading crafting company Stampin’ Up! UK, sees the resulting mini works of art auctioned on eBay from May 6th – May 16th. All proceeds will be donated to Coram, the UK’s first ever children’s charity.
Paula Gorry, UK Business Development Manager, Stampin’ Up! UK says: “Stampin’ Up! has a long and proud tradition of supporting philanthropic causes. For 275 years, Coram has been transforming the lives of some of the UK’s most vulnerable children through services such as Adoption and Creative Therapies. With the help of celebrities and their wonderful crafting skills, Stampin’ Up! UK is raising funds in recognition of this important work.
“Cards for Keeps offers people a chance to own a unique piece of artwork whilst supporting a truly valuable cause.”
