These are just a few of the guns the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA), a Delta Defense, LLC company, gave away to 40 lucky winners in April.
The company, whose mission is to educate, train, and insure responsibly armed Americans all across the company, launched the Gun-a-Day promotion in 2013.
It turns out that people really love free guns.
“The response last year was overwhelming,” USCCA President and Founder Tim Schmidt said. “So this year, we wanted to step up our game.”
He continued, “We really threw people for a loop this year by giving away 2 guns on April 27th, 3 guns on April 28th, 4 guns on April 29th, and 5 guns on April 30th.”
The gun on May 1st—a Kimber Desert Warrior valued at $1,512—wasn’t part of the original giveaway.
“We weren’t planning on giving that gun away. But at the NRA convention, I had started telling people that it was one of the guns in the promotion, so I had no choice but to stand by my word,” Schmidt said.
Overall, the company gave away 40 guns valued at a whopping $32,841.
According to Schmidt, the promotion is the perfect way to celebrate men and women all across the nation who believe in the ultimate protection of their loved ones.
“If we can get more guns into the hands of the good guys,” he said, “Well, that’s a win for responsibly armed Americans everywhere.”
As far as what the future holds for the Gun-a-Day promotion, Tim is already making a list of firearms to give away next year.
