Sentry Management is Well Represented in Florida Community Awards
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) May 14, 2014 -- Sentry Management is honored to work with eight finalists as well five winners of the prestigious Florida Communities of Excellence honors. Over 30 communities in Florida were finalists for 2014 recognition. The number of nominations and winners is a record for awards in any one year by a community association management company operating in the state. Please congratulate deserving winners:
• Lakes of Aloma Homeowners Association, Oviedo for Water Conservation, Small Communities
• Country Club of Mount Dora, Mt. Dora for Water Conservation, Large Communities
• Plantation Park Private Residences Condominium Association, Orlando for Communications and Community, Small Communities
• Stoneybrook West Master Association, Winter Garden for Communications and Community, Large Communities
• Sea Woods Homeowners Association, New Smyrna Beach for Safety and Security Initiatives, Small Communities
The three other Sentry-managed finalists are among the best community associations in Florida, even though they did not bring home top honors in their category. Please give kudos to: Renaissance I Association, Sarasota; Millstream Estates HOA, St. Cloud; and Magnolia Plantation, Lake Mary.
“Looking through this year’s 28 applications made by communities we are privileged to manage,” says James Hart, President of Sentry Management, “one thing struck me. There is a formula for winning these awards. It starts with a deeply committed Board that seeks information to make good decisions. Additionally, when there is a high level respect among Board members, it makes for a productive environment that raises their chances of winning. Finally, an effective, well-trained community manager with practical know-how can be critical. Sentry is fortunate to work for communities in Florida with all these critical elements in place.”
Bobby Douglas, the Community Manager for Country Club of Mount Dora, and Linda Anderson, the Community Manager for Sea Woods Homeowners Association in New Smyrna Beach, were also recognized as two of the six professionals awarded the prestigious Manager of Excellence award. They join the elite group of 29 Community Association Managers (out of over 20,000 licensed) throughout Florida to receive this highest award for individuals from the Communities of Excellence.
The Florida Communities of Excellence Awards represents the pinnacle of achievement for community associations and has recognized dozens of outstanding communities throughout Florida since its founding in 2008. The award is the only comprehensive, independent recognition program for community associations in Florida. The Conference & Awards Ceremony was attended by over 500 on May 2.
