NextLabs Awarded Five Additional U.S. Patents for Mitigation of Information Risk, Cyber Attacks, and Intellectual Property Theft

NextLabs, Inc., the leading provider of policy-driven Information Risk Management software for large enterprises, today announced that the U.S. Patent Office has awarded five (5) additional patents (patent no. 8,677,499, 8,621,549, 8,661,003, 8,640,191, and 8,627,490) to NextLabs for creating an innovative policy system and technology to automate the safeguarding of information sharing and mitigate information risk. These patents are amongst many from founder & CEO, Keng Lim, and other members of NextLabs who are defining the next generation policy system to mitigate information risk and combat cyber-attacks. The following patents were granted to NextLabs by the U.S. Patent Office:

1.    Enforcing and Automating Information Control Using Policies in a Distributed Environment (8,621,549)
2.    Enforcing Document Control Using Policies in a Distributed Information Management System (8,627,490)
3.    Techniques and System to Optimize Policy Deployment - Inspecting Code and Reducing Code Size Associated to a Target (8,640,191)
4.    Technique and System to Improve Policy Performance in an Information Management System (8,661,003)
5.    Enforcing Access Control Policies on Servers in an Information Management System (8,677,499)

With the addition of these five patents, NextLabs has a total of 18 patents awarded and more than 30 patents pending that cover key technology areas:
