Zhengzhou, China (PRWEB) May 13, 2014 -- Recently researchers in Rice University USA have discovered a mineral oil heat transfer application with diamond nanoparticles, which has a higher performance than ordinary thermal fluids.
The Science Group of Rice University had the 6 nm-diameter diamond permeate the mineral oil at an extra-low density and tried to figure out the interrelationship between the heat conductivity of nanofluid and its temperature as well as viscosity. The research turns out that the new thermal fluid achieves better effects in heat conductivity than those containing oxide, nitride, carbide ceramics, metal, semiconductors and other composite materials.
