Belleville, Ill. (PRWEB) May 14, 2014

Allsup Medicare specialists will join financial advisors from across the Washington, D.C., region for the 2014 NAPFA Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Region Symposium on Wednesday, June 11, at Sunrise at Fox Hill assisted living center in Bethesda, Md.

The full-day program will touch on timely topics for financial advisors, including Medicare planning issues for retirees and near-retirees, especially their clients who are approaching Medicare eligibility at age 65. The session, “Growing Opportunity: Retirees and Near Retirees Turn to Financial Advisors for Medicare Guidance,” will review the complexities of Medicare planning and decisions with a focus on the impact of near- and long-term financial objectives so that financial advisors can help manage their clients’ healthcare costs and affiliated assets into their 60s and beyond.

Paula Muschler, healthcare operations manager, Allsup Services Inc., will present the session on Medicare. A licensed Medicare plan representative, Muschler can assist financial professionals in understanding how they can work with their clients one-on-one to assess their Medicare needs, avoid common and costly mistakes, and choose cost-effective coverage that protects their clients’ health and retirement savings.
