Bay Area Green Tours Announces: The Moveable Feast Takes Over Berkeley
Berkeley, CA (PRWEB) May 13, 2014 -- Bay Area Green Tours (BAGT) and BALLE (Business Alliance for Local Living Economies) are hosting their scrumptious Moveable Feast on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. The Moveable Feast is a unique walking tour visiting 3 model sustainable restaurants located within 3 blocks for an intimate and informative progressive dinner in the heart of downtown Berkeley.
BAGT’s pioneering tour in downtown Berkeley, in a city some consider the epicenter for the US food movement, visits Gather Restaurant, Revival Bar +Kitchen, and Five Restaurant.
The tour is designed for participants to meet new friends, while indulging in locally sourced (mostly organic) courses at each restaurant. Along the way, feasters will learn about notable organizations that are making a mark in the sustainable food movement and guests will enjoy presentations by the award-winning restaurant owners and chefs behind these dishes.

Tour schedule:
5:30pm Gather Restaurant – Gourmet Pizza, Beer or Wine & Live Brazilian music. Meet your guides and other locavores at Gather Restaurant's patio for live entertainment and meet owners Ari Darful or Eric Fenster, who paved the way to creating a model green restaurant from the seats to the sauce.
6:45pm Revival Bar + Kitchen – Entree Enjoy a sumptuous meal (vegetarian options) in this beautiful restaurant across from Berkeley Rep Theater with chef/owner Amy Murray who will share her story of running two restaurants and cultivating relationships with farmers, ranchers, coffee-roasters, and winemakers for more than fifteen years.
8:00pm Five at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza – Dessert, Coffee or Tea
Meet chef Stephane Tonnelier, who was most recently executive sous-chef at Boulevard Restaurant in San Francisco. He has worked as a saucier at the world-renowned Hotel Georges V in Paris, and as a sous chef under Michelin-star chef Denis Schneider.
