Merchant Advisory Group Announces Staff Addition
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) May 15, 2014 -- The Merchant Advisory Group, the MAG, is pleased to announce Liz Garner has joined the MAG staff in a newly created role as Vice President. Liz has held positions with both the National Restaurant Association and with the Food Marketing Institute. Liz brings to the MAG her considerable experience in advocating for merchants as well as a strong payments background.
MAG CEO, Mark Horwedel, stated, “Liz is a wonderful addition to the MAG. She will broaden our scope and skill set in ways which will increase our value proposition to both member merchants and sponsors. We’re looking forward to having her on board.”

Formerly, Liz served as Director, Commerce & Entrepreneurship at the National Restaurant Association representing the industry before Congress and numerous regulatory agencies on issues impacting restaurant and food service profitability & entrepreneurship, including retail and mobile payments, data security, privacy, emerging technologies, tax, finance, and other issues. Before joining the National Restaurant Association, Garner served as Director, Government Relations for the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) where she focused on similar policy issues and also served as the staff liaison to the FMI Electronic Payments Committee.
