On Sunday, July 27, at the Hard Rock Cafe Dallas, Bentley and Lace Clothing (http://www.BentleyandLace.com) will host the Anchors Away Fashion Show, featuring some of the most promising young models in the country. Some of the young talent will include, rising model Taryn DeJean, of Groves, Texas, and model and actress Autumn Lindsey Bearden, of North Carolina. There are over 25 talented young ladies traveling from all over the United States to participate in the show.
This event is a platform for aspiring young models of all ages and designers. Many of the shows designers include "momtrepreneurs;" each company is a (woman-owned and run business). As a momtrepreneur herself, Show organizer and spokesperson Elizabeth Copeland, of Bentley and Lace Clothing, says, she strives to offer opportunities to other designers who are up and coming, or to those who are stay at home moms "sahm." In addition, the Fashion Show provide’s valuable mommy and me time, builds a sense of community and offer real world fashion experience for aspiring models. This year’s show will include Nautical inspired fashion.
Last year’s fashion show was described by attendees as, "fabulous," "A-M-A-Z-I-N-G" and "out of this world." Amy Montoya, mother of model Lilyauna said, "It was truly everything I imagined it would be… the professionalism and maturity that surrounded [Lilyauna] from the other beautiful models provided such great examples that she just copied!"
According to Copeland, "Most of the young ladies who participate in our fashion show hope to one day become famous actresses, models or dancers. This was a great opportunity for them to build their confidence in front of the public and get a taste of what the runway is all about, in front of and behind the scenes."
Producing each fashion show is truly a team effort.
