Prior to USIM, Ashby started his media career in 1992 when he joined Western International Media in SF after graduating from UC Santa Barbara. Continuing with Initiative for the next 17 years he worked with numerous accounts, large and small, finding his reoccurring automotive experiences the most rewarding. After working in a local boutique shop, Ashby joined Universal McCann for three years, again focusing on automotive accounts.
