Baker Donelson Announces 15 Presenting Emerging Companies for Second Annual Southeastern Regional Capital Connections
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) May 14, 2014 -- The law firm of Baker Donelson announces 15 emerging companies selected to present at its Second Annual Southeastern Regional Capital Connections event. On Thursday, May 15, entrepreneurs from the 15 companies will pitch 23 capital investors from across the Southeast for potential funding. The finalists range from inventors of energy efficiency programs to a remote, non-contact cardiorespiratory and patient motion monitor.
The finalists come from five southeastern states and nine different cities. Their names and locations are:

• Sensiotec, Inc.: Atlanta, Ga.
• Validus Solutions, Inc.: Norcross, Ga.
• Vendor Registry: Knoxville, Tenn.
• WACSI: Atlanta, Ga.
Each finalist will pitch its company to attending investors during a morning session that also includes an education component provided by the participating investors and Baker Donelson’s attorneys. During lunch, attending investors will select five companies with whom they will meet during afternoon breakout sessions to provide feedback and/or discuss potential investment interest in the company.
The event is organized by Baker Donelson shareholder Justin Daniels, who co-chairs the Firm’s Emerging Companies practice in Atlanta. Last year’s event resulted in three companies receiving $2.5 million in funding.
