GREE and MunkyFun Team Up to Bring 3D Strategy Game Exclusively to iOS

GREE, a leading developer of mobile games, today announced the release of League of War, an epic 3D action-strategy game exclusively for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. In League of War, players attack and destroy enemy bases in a race to become the world’s most powerful military mercenary group. The title also allows gamers to face-off against their friends - or enemies - in fast-paced real-time synchronous battles. The game, developed in partnership with San Francisco-based developer MunkyFun, Inc., is available now for free only on the App Store.

In League of War, players put together the ultimate six-unit squad comprised of the most advanced military weapons and defenses - including paratroopers, tanks, snipers and helicopters - each with their own unique stats and attributes. The game offers multiple ways for players to flex their combat skills. In the game’s single player mode, players put their squads to the test by battling against a common enemy and destroying its base to survive. Taking advantage of the game’s synchronous gameplay battles over WiFi, gamers can destroy their enemies wherever and whenever they have an internet connection. Players can also go head-to-head against other League of War mercenaries in timed events for precious rewards in the players-versus-player mode.

League of War also offers a range of social and multiplayer features, including banding together with others from around the world to participate in all-out team battles, attacking and defending units against other players, and climbing up the ranks of a global leaderboard.
