The Search Agency Seeking Nominees for Second Annual Stars of Search Award

Presented at the DMA2014 Conference, Stars of Search Honors Search Marketing Innovators

The Search Agency, a global online marketing firm and the largest independent U.S. search marketing agency, today announced the second annual Stars of Search Award, recognizing excellence and innovation in search marketing. Three winners will be honored at the Direct Marketing Association annual conference, DMA2014 in San Diego.

“Effective search marketing goes way outside the boundaries of SEO and SEM – encompassing expertise and innovation in mobile, social, and other fields, and how all of these dovetail within an effective overall search campaign. The Stars of Search award is meant to recognize this innovation, spotlighting the leaders and campaigns that are driving the industry forward,” said Steve Levitt, senior vice president of business development and marketing at The Search Agency. “Last year, we were wowed by the Stars of Search winners’ work, and we are excited to see what the industry’s best and brightest have achieved since then.”

Stars of Search 2014 honors search marketers who exemplify overall excellence and innovation in the fields of paid search, search engine optimization (SEO), social media marketing, mobile marketing, comparison shopping and search retargeting. Nominees will undergo review by a panel of search marketing experts from The Search Agency, the DMA, and other industry influencers.

Last year’s winners include Elaine Lawson, VP of U.S. digital marketing, MasterCard; Jeb Griffin, director of product strategy and development, RE/MAX; and David Pedersen, PPC analyst, WhitePages.

•Eligibility – Starting today, Stars of Search 2014 is open to any level of client-side and brand marketers. Nominees must have overall responsibility for the brand’s search marketing campaigns. Consultants, agency employees or employees at marketing services firms are ineligible but are encouraged to nominate clients for consideration.
•Nominations – All nominations are due by June 16 and will be reviewed by a judging panel of search marketing experts. Three winners will be notified by June 30.
•Winners and the prize – Stars of Search 2014 winners will receive a full conference pass to the DMA2014 conference in San Diego, in addition to recognition at the Monday afternoon keynote. All winners will be profiled on the Stars of Search award page and interviewed on The Search Agents blog.
