Delray Beach, FL (PRWEB) May 16, 2014
As a way to honor and show appreciation for our Country’s military men and women, Mizner Country Club will be hosting their 3rd annual Memorial Day Golf Scramble on Monday, May 26, 2014.
The event is hosted by the Mizner Country Club, in partnership with the United States Southern Command, as a way to demonstrate gratitude and support to those who valiantly serve, or have served, our country.
Members of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Marines, as well as Honor Guard ROTC Cadets, will gather at the Club, with their families, for a day of culinary delights, golf and a special ceremony paying tribute to members of our Armed forces.
“We know that freedom is not free,” said Larry Savvides, General Manager at Mizner Country Club. “It is our privilege and honor to host a day of fun and reflection for the courageous and brave men and women who so fearlessly serve our Nation. Our members are honored to share their Club and pay respect to our Armed Forces.”
The event begins with a gourmet buffet breakfast and an Opening Ceremony paying tribute to America’s service men and women. Afterwards, our men and women in uniform, veterans and Mizner residents will participate in a golf scramble, on Mizner’s 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course and then will be treated to a bountiful luncheon.
This event is just another example of how Mizner Country Club and its members support and give back to the community.
