Zapis Capital Group, a Cleveland-based venture capital company, recently invested in Groupmatics, an internet-based, group-ticketing platform founded by local entrepreneur Matt Mastrangelo. The move signifies the next level of success for the two-year-old technology firm, which uses first-to-market technology to help professional sports teams and entertainment venues manage group ticket sales and collect attendee data.

Groupmatics dramatically expedites the group ticket sales process for both group sales departments and group leaders. Using Groupmatics technology, a group sales rep creates a custom event page that the group leader sends to group attendees via email or social media. Invitees simply click the link to register for the event and purchase tickets through Groupmatics’ secure system.
