The Network, Inc., a leading provider of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions, announced today its official sponsorship and participation in Compliance Week 2014, Compliance Week’s 9th annual conference and the most prestigious event designed for senior compliance, risk and audit executives at global corporations.

The Network will lead a presentation on Tuesday, May 20 on how compliance officers can better leverage technology to build policy management programs. Many businesses have policies that look great on paper but they may not be current, or worse, employees might not even know about them. The Network’s session will explore how to use technology to solve the increasingly complex policy needs modern companies experience, including keeping pace with regulatory requirements, coordinating policy and training, communicating new policies to employees, tracking existing policies and expiring policies when appropriate.

Session speakers will include Jimmy Lin, Vice President of Product Management & Corporate Strategy at The Network, Victoria Lang, Sr. Manager of Policies & Procedures at HMSHost Corporation and Dan Berrios, Counsel of Corporate Ethics and Compliance at Realogy. Michelle Nichols, Program Consultant at The Network, will moderate the session.

“The goal of this program will be to break down the problem of policy management into its component parts – tracking regulatory requirements, tracking all policies generated and management conflicts among policies – and see how a modern, enterprise-wide IT system can do those tasks more efficiently,” Lin said.

Compliance Week 2014 offers deep, informative sessions, case studies, and analysis that equip attendees with actionable insights they can employ immediately. Compliance Week 2014 (Twitter: #CW2014), which will run May 19 - May 21 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C., features content-rich keynote sessions, lively concurrent panel discussions and presentations, along with small-room “conversation” sessions, networking opportunities and more. Topics include ethics, internal control, compliance programs, IT risks, privacy, financial reporting, international regulations, investigations, audit committees and more.

“Part of what differentiates the Compliance Week conference is that it serves as a terrific forum for compliance professionals to share and discuss best practices. This conference gives us an opportunity to share our thought leadership and meet with many of our clients. We always look forward to talking with senior compliance leaders, hearing the challenges they are facing and discussing ways our solutions can help their organizations increase the defensibility of their ethics and compliance programs,” Luis Ramos, CEO of The Network, said.

Additional conference highlights will include an international track focusing on compliance risks in specific countries, and strategic networking with peers, colleagues and government officials to exchange insights and real-world learned lessons that will prepare attendees to handle compliance and regulatory changes that occur throughout the year.

“The level of our speakers, attendees and sponsors such as The Network makes our annual conference the must-attend event for the compliance community. Our program is designed to address key issues that attendees need to know, as well as to drive thought leadership on compliance and the trends that senior compliance officers must address. Our sales and editorial teams are working closely with The Network to ensure our conference is as fruitful as possible for all parties,” said Matt Kelly, editor-in- chief of Compliance Week.
