Real Estate Scorecard Applauds River Dunes as Host of the Fourth Annual Leukemia Cup Regatta in Coastal North Carolina
New Bern, North Carolina (PRWEB) May 15, 2014 -- Is there anything better than combining a love for sailing and the opportunity to help cure cancer? On the weekend of June 6th-8th, 2014 River Dunes will host the fourth annual sailing event benefitting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The past three years have seen a total of over $300,000 raised for the organization that provides funding for blood cancer research and services to patients in the community. More than 40 boats have already registered to participate with only a few spots remaining.
Boat registration includes four nights free dockage, a Regatta t-shirt, two tickets to the post-race Shoreside Celebration, and a Captain’s Reception. Sailing vessels of all sizes are welcome. The regatta will feature three classes, Spinnaker, Jib & Main, and Cruising in a race course at the mouth of the Neuse River with two races on Saturday and one on Sunday. The Oriental Dinghy Club is functioning as the official race committee.
Awards ceremony will be held at the River Dunes Harbor Club on Sunday afternoon.
