Plano, TX (PRWEB) May 16, 2014
Prestonwood Christian Academy (PCA) today celebrated the commencement of construction for a new Student Life Center at the school’s Plano campus. The new building will open in the fall of 2015 and will serve as a hub of activity for students in grades seven through twelve.
PCA and Prestonwood Baptist Church leaders ceremoniously broke ground celebrating the new building. “The new Student Life Center will create a place on campus not just where young men and women will study and eat,” said PCA’s Head of School, Dr. Larry Taylor. “But it will be a place of community – where students and teachers create bonds with each other over meals, study the Bible together and grow to know the Lord. It will be a place where our students do life together.”
Through the PCA Initiatives Campaign, Prestonwood Christian Academy has secured enough funding to move forward with construction of its new Student Life Center. Prestonwood Baptist Church Pastor Dr. Jack Graham said, “Buildings are necessary tools to take us into the future. PCA continues to develop a new generation of servant-leaders, and this new space will serve a strong purpose.”
The Student Life Center will serve more than 600 students and faculty and marks the conclusion of the master plan component of the PCA Initiatives Campaign.
