Body Labs to Demo at the O’Reilly Solid Conference
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 16, 2014 -- Body Labs, Inc., provider of the most advanced technology for creating 3D digital avatars, will be demoing its capabilities and integration possibilities at the O’Reilly Solid conference held in San Francisco at Fort Mason from May 21 - May 22, 2014.
The O’Reilly Solid Conference is in its first year and is organized around the intersection of software and hardware, featuring engineers, researchers, roboticists, artists, startups, and innovators. Body Labs will be displaying its software that works with the newest Microsoft Kinect scanner to easily and quickly create full body scans, afterwards turning them into highly accurate body models that can be manipulated, posed, and animated. At Solid, Body Labs will also be demoing its integration capabilities, partnering with Nervous Systems and Formlabs to show how body models can be used in the 3D design and 3D printing workflow.
“Body Labs is very excited to be presenting at the Solid conference, showing attendees cutting-edge technology for creating ‘intelligent’ 3D models of people from 3D data or measurements. Once we create a model of someone, this avatar can be realistically reposed and reshaped, and more importantly, serve as a platform for a number of shape-related applications,” says Eric Rachlin, co-founder and vice president of product design. “Attendees should visit our booth to see live demonstrations of how we create these realistic 3D models and feed them into other design tools.”
About Body Labs
Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Manhattan, Body Labs has the world's most advanced technology for analyzing human body size, shape, and motion. With this technology, we can create highly accurate 3D body models that can be posed, animated, and manipulated with complete fidelity to how real humans move and deform.
