Chairman Jordan Cowman, Texas Business Hall of Fame Announce 2014 Inductees
DALLAS (PRWEB) May 15, 2014 -- Jordan W. Cowman, Chairman of the Texas Business Hall of Fame (TBHF) and shareholder in the Dallas office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP, is pleased to unveil the TBHF 2014 class of Business Legends. This year’s lineup includes: Harold Simmons (posthumously), renowned businessman and philanthropist; Gerald “Jerry” J. Ford, Chairman of Hilltop Holding, Inc.; Donald Evans, former U.S. Secretary of Commerce to President George W. Bush; Douglas Hawthorne, CEO of Texas Health Resources; Trevor Rees-Jones, Founder and President of Chief Oil and Gas; and Kelcy Warren, CEO of Energy Transfer Partners.
Founded in 1982, the TBHF is an educational non-profit with a stated mission to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of outstanding Texas business leaders and to perpetuate and inspire entrepreneurial spirit, personal integrity and community leadership. Each year an executive committee within the TBHF selects a small group of influential Texans to induct into its hall of fame. Selection is competitive, with serious consideration given to individuals that positively impact their communities in addition to being savvy business leaders. To date, the TBHF has honored over 165 legends including Ebby Halliday, Jerry Jones, Herb Kelleher, and Ross Perot, Jr.

He has a broad range of international experience representing and advising governments and international agencies on policy issues, as well as multinationals in industries including: logistics, technology, transportation, energy, defense, manufacturing, retail, banking, food, aviation, chemical, hospitality, insurance, manufacturing and private equity. Cowman is a past Chairman of the Texas Lyceum and has served the TBHF since 2003.
