Woodloch Pines Resort Puts the Pedal to the Metal During National Bike Month
Hawley, PA (PRWEB) May 15, 2014 -- National Bike Month at many other all-inclusive resorts might include taking lots of photos of their amazing bike fleet or participating in a bike race with their staff. Woodloch Pines has something else in mind.
“There is nothing more touching than watching a child (or adult for that matter) learn to ride a bike for the first time,” explains John Kiesendahl, owner and CEO of Woodloch Pines. “Biking is an all-American past time that sums up much of what we strive for at our award-winning resort: having fun, spending time with those you love and staying active,” Kiesendahl continued. The Groups Department at this Poconos resort created an amazing program to help give those in need the chance to have a bike of their own to create fun, active lifestyles with loved ones.
The Benevolent Bike Build is a team-building exercise customized for each group by the Woodloch Groups Department. In this event, groups are divided into teams and tasked to successfully navigate to waypoints around the all-inclusive resort. At each of these points, the team members find a piece of a bicycle. Once they have gathered all of the pieces, it is time to build! The first team to complete the bike build is awarded the coveted Woodloch Gold Medal, but everyone walks away a winner since all bikes are donated to a local charity.
