Non-Profit Startup The Helping a Needy Kid Society (T.H.A.N.K.S.) Launches an Indiegogo Campaign to Raise Funds for Underprivileged Philadelphia Students
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) May 28, 2014 -- Non-profit startup The Helping a Needy Kid Society (T.H.A.N.K.S.) launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for underprivileged Philadelphia students. Donations to T.H.A.N.K.S. provide funding to families who are struggling with the financial burden of extracurricular activities. The T.H.A.N.K.S. scholarships provide assistance to children grades K-12 to pursue extracurricular activities in the areas of education, art, sports, music and more.
Extracurricular activities provide children with important opportunities for personal growth outside the classroom. With widespread school budget cuts and the rising expenses of out-of-school activities, the need for the service provided by T.H.A.N.K.S. is essential. A spokesperson for the organization explains, “We know that it’s not always easy for families to send their children to the activities they enjoy. We know that, in many cases, these activities can become a financial burden to families.” T.H.A.N.K.S. has launched an Indiegogo campaign with the mission to provide underprivileged families with the support they need to involve their children in extracurricular pursuits.
