Kleritec Announces Expansion of their Disinfectant and Cleaning Offerings in Light of FDA and CDC Memos on Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria
Sylmar, CA (PRWEB) August 05, 2014 -- Kleritec announced today the expansion of their disinfectant and cleaning offerings, in light of recent news from both the FDA and the CDC about antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
Among the new products from Kleritec is Medistaph Hand Wipes, Formula 10, and Disinfectant Spray. The Medistaph Wipes protect against MRSA and other antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and can be used for cleaning hands after doing things like playing with toys, eating, using the bathroom, and using outdoor equipment. They are also great to use at work. Formula 10 was formulated for cleaning carpets and clothing on a regular basis. Lastly, the Disinfectant Spray can be used in many areas throughout the home with traditionally high bacteria levels, such as bathrooms, on toys, and on furniture.

The CDC is now classifying bacteria by its threat level. MRSA, for instance, has a “serious” threat level, meaning the bacteria is of serious concern and requires prompt and sustained action to ensure that it does not spread. In addition, the FDA states in a recent article titled “Hand Sanitizers Carry Unproven Claims to Prevent MRSA Infections” that they are cracking down on companies that break the law by stating that their hand sanitizers prevent MRSA, when they haven’t been reviewed and approved to do so.
"[The] FDA has not approved any products claiming to prevent infection from MRSA, E. coli, Salmonella, or H1N1 flu, which a consumer can just walk into a store and buy,” the FDA article states. "These products give consumers a false sense of protection."
Businesses, schools, childcare facilities, and hospitals all need to be aware of MRSA, C. diff, and other antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and the guidelines for prevention. The new products from Kleritec are useful weapons in the fight against potentially deadly antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
