Sagacious Consultants, the premier full-service Epic consulting company, has launched a new service, Sagacious Go-Live Success, to provide comprehensive floor support and coordination to customers who are going live, upgrading, or rolling out new Epic functionality.

Go-lives are critical junctures for Epic customers; success depends on having a high level of immediate on-the-floor support. During a major go-live in a hospital, typically thousands of users, from physicians to registration staff, are adopting new functionality and adapting to new workflows. As users adjust to the transition, hospital efficiency often drops—and even patient volumes may decrease. With effective planning, training, and go-live support, hospitals can offset the loss of efficiency.

  •     Floor support leads direct floor support, triage issues, and escalate issues appropriately. These full-time, Epic-certified consultants know the most common end user issues, and can advise the floor support on the best course of action.
  •     Floor support staff coach end users and identify issues side-by-side, enabling them to carry on with their jobs. They can help formulate a mitigation plan, and notify the command center of high priority issues. All staff have go-live experience, and are vetted by Sagacious.
  •     Go-live planning, including go-live, command center, and helpdesk coordination, helps ensure customers are adequately staffed. A project manager and project coordinator work together to coordinate resources for all aspects of go-live.
