“Green Expo” Takes Place Saturday, May 24th, 2014 - 9am to 3pm. 6530 N. 7th Street
Speakers are offering complimentary workshops on healthy green living throughout the day. They include renowned Chef Sara from the Raw/Vegan Academy, Jared Keen from Plant Based Nation and respected local environmentalist, Greg Petersen, the Urban Farmer and member of CLF. Among organizations making presentations are The City of Phoenix, Epcor Water and Solar Power by Vivint Solar.
Vegan and organic food will be available for purchase at the Green Café in the church’s Holmes Hall. The day’s festivities will culminate in a “ribbon cutting” ceremony performed by the Phoenix Green Chamber of Commerce announcing CLF as the “First Green Church of Arizona”.
“The Green Expo is an amazing opportunity for those offering sustainable products and services and for those looking for sustainable products and services to come together in a day of fun, information and opportunities,” says CLF’s Senior Minister, Rev. Dr. Michele Whittington.
“We at CLF are excited to be hosting this extraordinary event, which helps us fulfill our spiritual mandate of not only being good stewards of Mother Earth, but supporting others interested in living in harmony with Mother Earth.”
CLF would like to thank Whole Foods Market, Green Living Magazine and Plant Based Nation for their support.
