Reach and Engage Workshop Shows Churches How to Move from Dying to Thriving
Augusta, GA (PRWEB) May 19, 2014 -- Church leaders came together to exchange ideas and implement effective outreach strategies on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the Tuskegee Lee Baptist Association in Opelika, AL. Input from participants was vital to the workshop’s success.
When asked why he was interested in the Reach & Engage Workshop, Pastor Jay Webster stated, “I saw the title of the workshop and thought our church of 20 needs to do exactly that, reach and engage the culture around us in order to not just grow, but to not die.” The Pastor of Central Baptist Church, Scott Ferguson, has a different sort of problem. They have more in attendance than the community right around the church. He said that he was interested in the workshop in order to find out how to be more efficient in what they were currently doing in reaching outside the church. He wanted to spend less time doing administrative work and more time with the people that were helping with the outreach.
CallingPost Communications, a Christian owned and operated company, hosted a free Reach & Engage Workshop to reveal how its Move the Mountain System will help churches better engage both its current members and those outside the church while spending less time on the menial administrative tasks that so often consumes the time of the Pastor and leadership of the church. Thus, the Pastor or leadership has more time to invest in making disciples as we are commanded by Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20. The natural result is growth of the church, spiritually and numerically.
The goal of this workshop was to help churches become more effective in outreach and follow-up while also successfully sharing the vision of the church and creating greater participation among its members.
