I want to help them through the entire process, from pricing their homes and creating a strategy to helping make the transition to a new senior citizens’ community.

Michael Tudorie, Vancouver resident and Kitsilano real estate agent, was awarded the Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) last month. Real estate agents that possess such a designation are qualified to help seniors with wise real estate choices.
A SRES agent aims to help seniors with selling the family home, purchasing investment properties, managing real estate profits and taxes, deciding if home modifications are an option, relocating to a seniors’ community and more.
The SRES designation was first introduced in 1997 and officially became a member of the NAR’s umbrella of designations in 2007. The importance of serving seniors is mounting as the demographic continues to grow.
Tudorie remarked that “spring is in the air and changes are on the horizon. I’ve seen many empty nesters lately going through many changes, and I felt that I needed to be able to offer them more. I felt that I should offer my know-how and aptitude for real estate in a whole new way to better serve my community. I know that this demographic is emerging and will continue to grow, so I wanted to make sure I was ready to serve them properly.”
Tudorie continued, “I want to help them through the entire process, from pricing their homes and creating a strategy to helping make the transition to a new senior citizens’ community.”
