NEW YORK (PRWEB) May 16, 2014

International law firm Greenberg Traurig will serve as the lead sponsor for the MIXiii Israel Innovation Conference, which will debut a conference format to uniquely combine Biomed and High-tech presentations and activities. The conference will take place at the Tel Aviv Fairgrounds May 20-22, 2014. This new conference format, led by IATI, Israel's umbrella organization focusing on the nation’s advanced technologies, will also include a government perspective and involve the Chief Scientist (OCS) of the Israeli Ministry of Economy.

“We are very proud to participate in the Israel Innovation Conference and furthering our commitment to Israel. Our choice of opening an office in Tel Aviv is a reflection of our understanding that this is an important market that affects international markets,” said Richard A. Rosenbaum, Greenberg Traurig’s Chief Executive Officer.

Greenberg Traurig is the only international law firm that maintains a full service permanent office in Israel. In connection with the sponsorship of the conference, the firm has invited senior shareholders of its non-U.S. offices and Global Practice Group to meet at its Tel Aviv office.

“One of the objectives of our leadership visit to Israel is to establish connections between our clients around the world and leading companies in Israel,” Rosenbaum said.

Participating in the meeting and conference-related events with Rosenbaum will be Paul Maher, Chairman of the London office; Lejb Fogelman, a Warsaw office Shareholder; Jaroslaw Grzesiak, Managing Shareholder of the Warsaw office; Peter van Langeveld a Shareholder in the Amsterdam office and Co-Chair of the firm’s Global Tax Group; and Patricia Menéndez-Cambó, Chair of the firm’s Global Practice Group. They will be hosted by Gary Epstein, Managing Shareholder of the firm’s Tel Aviv. Named the leader of the firm's Corporate & Securities Practice in 1996, Epstein also Co-Chairs the firm's Israel Practice.

In 2012 Greenberg Traurig established the office in Israel. Today, among the firm’s partners resident in Tel Aviv are Joey T. Shabot, Adam Snukal and Scott Mortman. The firm also has a vibrant Israel Practice, headed by Epstein, Bob Grossman, Meital Stavinsky, David Gitlin, Barry Schindler and Scott Bornstein.
