Pinnacle Group CEO Nina G. Vaca To Travel to Ghana, Africa to Promote Entrepreneurship
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) May 16, 2014 -- The Pinnacle Group, a leading provider of IT services and solutions, announced today that its CEO and Chairman, Nina G.Vaca, will travel to The Republic of Ghana, Africa next week as part of a business delegation led by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker.
The trip marks the first international trip for the newly-launched PAGE — Presidential Ambassadors for Global Entrepreneurship — program, which is chaired by Secretary Pritzker. Vaca is one of 11 entrepreneurs selected by President Obama to help inspire and encourage more entrepreneurship domestically and around the world. Ghana is the first stop of many planned PAGE missions.
“It’s an honor to participate in this mission to Ghana and to be part of a group of business leaders who embody the American spirit of entrepreneurship and understand fully its transformative power,” said Vaca. “The mission of PAGE is to convey that message to all those we encounter, from the young startup to the established business leader. During her two-day trip, Vaca is slated to meet with local entrepreneurs, government officials and tour various schools and facilities that are training and investing in Ghanaian startups.
Vaca, an immigrant entrepreneur from Quito, Ecuador, started Pinnacle out of her living room with only $300. Nearly 18 years later, Pinnacle has grown to more than $600 million in revenue and has been named to Inc. Magazine’s Fastest-Growing Firms list nine years in a row.
As an international leader, Vaca has represented the U.S. in numerous transatlantic leadership forums through the German Marshall Memorial Fellow program and as a delegate of the British-American Project.
Vaca plans to share her entrepreneurial story and insights during scheduled roundtable discussions with business leaders and young business owners.
