Tumblr’s Annie Werner to Speak at Summer Session of the National YouthLeadership Forum: Careers in Business & Innovation
(PRWEB) May 20, 2014 -- Committed to helping outstanding young people prepare for and make the most of their future school, college and career experiences, Envision today announced that it is accepting applications for the 2014 Tumblr Business & Innovation Scholarship for the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): Careers in Business & Innovation (http://www.envisionexperience.com/explore-our-programs/business-and-innovation).
The scholarship will be awarded, on behalf of Tumblr, to a current high school student who wishes to attend this summer’s NYLF Business & Innovation program at Fordham University in New York, July 19 – July 26.
Annie Werner, a Content and Community Manager at Tumblr (https://www.tumblr.com), is scheduled to speak to scholars about her career path, life and work experiences at the New York-based media network founded by David Karp and owned by Yahoo.
Envision will select the recipient of the Tumblr Business and Innovation Scholarship based on financial need, scholastic merit, leadership achievement and other factors. The scholarship application for NYLF Business & Innovation must be completed by Friday, June 20. Apply for the scholarship at https://go.envisionexperience.com/emiScholarship/SignIn.aspx
The scholarship will cover full tuition for the eight-day program, which allows students to receive an interactive, behind-the-scenes look at the heart of the stock market and American finance in New York City’s financial district.
Scholars in the program receive firsthand exposure to business professionals and learn about the business careers that are in high demand in the United States and throughout the world. Interactive simulations, hands-on workshops and educational site visits provide opportunities for discovery. Students also gain valuable college exposure, experience college life and learn proven strategies for getting accepted to college and making the most of the university experience.
“Envision is thrilled to have Annie Werner and Tumblr take part in our program,” said Andrew Potter, the Vice President of Education for NYLF Business & Innovation. “We are excited to have the opportunity, through this scholarship, to make this experience available to a high school student who may not otherwise be able to attend this life-changing program to explore a future as an innovative business leader.”
Additional scholarship opportunities are also available through Envision for NYLF Business & Innovation. For more information, email the Office of Admissions at Business(at)envisionexperience(dot)com or call (866) 441-8703.
