Oxylent® Sponsors Canadian Women’s Effort to Row across the Pacific Ocean during Inaugural Great Pacific Race this June
Santa Cruz County, CA (PRWEB) May 19, 2014 -- Oxylent is proud to sponsor Canadians Rebecca Berger and Leanne Zrum as they join other teams from around the world in Monterey, California on June 7th to undertake the incredible feat of rowing across the Pacific Ocean in the Great Pacific Race. Rowing 2100 nautical miles to Hawaii, Rebecca and Leanne of the Row the Pacific team aim to become the first Canadians and the first females to complete this endurance race. Their 22-foot rowing boat will be powered only by human power. With Oxylent’s 5-in-1 daily multivitamin drink (super-packed with vitamins, minerals, electrolytes, amino acids, and antioxidants) onboard, the dynamic duo will row every mile, at 12 hours a day, in a journey that could take up to 100 days.
According to Rebecca, “Every time we drink Oxylent we feel more energized - naturally. On more intense training days, we will often have two throughout the day – the extra Oxylent aids in recovery and to reduce the perpetual feeling of fatigue that is oh-so-familiar after multiple hard work-outs.” Leanne adds, “We are looking forward to having Oxylent on the boat with us during our row. The addition of high quality vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes to our daily food provisions will aid our hydration and give much needed support to our immune systems – which will take a beating with our daily regimen of rowing and lack of rest!”
On May 30th, Oxylent will sponsor a lunch in Monterey, California to support the entire group of rowers.
Rebecca and Leanne are also rowing for a cause. They are using this opportunity to increase awareness for the oceans’ health and raise funds for the David Suzuki Foundation, which supports environmental conservation and provides education about planetary impact.
