HealthyHispanicLiving Launches Its “Fit to Win” Social Media Contest; Six Winners Will Receive $100 Visa Gift Cards
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) May 19, 2014 -- In keeping with national fitness month, today, HealthyHispanicLiving.com (HHL), the first-ever preventive care online educational platform targeted to U.S. Hispanics, launched its inaugural social medial contest, “Fit to Win: Share the Inspiration, Pass it On,” in which contestants can submit their best 15-second fitness video on Instagram and their favorite healthy recipes on Twitter.
“This is an opportunity for individuals to share their stories and tips and inspire others to lead healthy lives,” explains Marisa Salcines, HHL Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief. “At the same time, it’s a chance for HHL to reward its exclusive followers on Twitter and Instagram for supporting this relevant and important content platform.”
With the goal of developing a culturally-relevant content and communications platform to advance clinical care, research, prevention, education, mental health, financial well-being, nutrition, fitness and outreach to the Latino community, HHL was launched in December 2013. Its aim is to guide Hispanics and the community at large to live healthier lives and to ensure preventive care engagement and accountability by changing the conversation about health from illness to wellness and providing solutions.
“Our focus is on Hispanic individuals and families because we recognize that from family to physician and from research to cures, Hispanics need to play a more meaningful and purposeful role in the healthcare industry,” says Salcines, a strategic communications expert. “They need to help the industry become more Hispanic friendly on many levels by acknowledging, among other things, the growing importance of culture and the role it plays in serving patients, the need to be Spanish-language mindful to elevate trust and an overall better experience of care, and the demand for new treatment and cures.”
Contest Rules
The contest is open to everyone (regardless of ethnicity and/or race) and ends at 11:59PM EDT on June 16, 2014. Individuals must first follow HHL on Instagram at HealthyHispanic #HHL15fit and Twitter @HispanicHealthy #HHLreceta and then can submit their entries. There are no restrictions on how many times contestants can enter the contest to win one of the six available $100 Visa gift cards; however, each individual can only win one time. Opening multiple Twitter or Instagram accounts is highly discouraged as is resubmitting the same entry more than once. The three posts with the highest number of likes on Instagram will each receive a $100 Visa gift card; the three tweets with the highest number of favorites and/or retweets on Twitter will each receive a $100 Visa gift card. Winners will be notified by June 23, 2014 via Instagram and Twitter mentions and will need to contact HHL directly at [email protected] to claim their prizes. This contest is not associated with or endorsed by Twitter or Instagram.
