Stanley Consultants Selected to Design U.S. Highway 83 Intersections
Bismarck, North Dakota (PRWEB) May 20, 2014 -- Stanley Consultants has been selected by the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) to provide engineering services for realignment of two intersections on U.S Highway 83 north of Maxmass in Bottineau County. The existing geometry at the intersections at 93rd Street NW and 20th Avenue NW, and 20th Avenue NW and 97th Street NW create safety concerns due to limited visibility. Stanley Consultants has been selected to redesign the roadways and intersections to widen the road shoulders and improve safety. Design of the project is expected to be completed by December 2014, with construction taking place during the 2015 construction season.
Stanley Consultants recently completed Phase 1 of the project, a NEPA study of the potential social, economic, and environmental impacts of the project, which was required before the project can proceed to the design stage.

The firm recently completed design of a 250-mile-long 345-kV transmission line from Center to Grand Forks, North Dakota, and is currently providing construction management services for the project, which is expected to be completed in July.
