New York’s Commercial Real Estate Community Gathers to Honor Its Most Notable Women
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 20, 2014 -- Catherine Luthin, President of Luthin Associates, and Lauren Brust, Director of Commercial Building Energy Services for Steven Winter Associates Inc., were among sixteen women honored last night as the Top Women in Commercial Real Estate. The awards were presented by industry publisher, Lori Sokol, President of Sokol Media, at Manhattan’s Club 101.
Catherine Luthin was honored for her contributions as President of Luthin Associates, a financial energy management firm. She has over 30 years of financial and energy management experience within the corporate, governmental, non–profit and regulatory environments. Ms. Luthin also chairs and manages Consumer Power Advocates (CPA), an association of large, non-profit institutions whose primary goal is to decrease the cost of energy by focusing on regulatory decisions and programs which impact energy consumers in New York State. She is also a frequent speaker and contributor to the energy and real estate communities in the tri-state area and a mentor to women trying to advance in the energy industry.
Lauren Brust was recognized for her commitment to executing high-performance and sustainable building projects in existing commercial buildings. As Director of Commercial Energy Services for Steven Winter Associates, Lauren prioritizes and balances the multiple goals that accompany large-scale building and portfolio projects, including energy improvements, feasibility, compliance, certification, and cost considerations. Ms. Brust is part of the Urban Green Council Speakers Bureau for New York City’s Local Law 84 and Local Law 87, and is an active member of industry organizations such as BOMA, Hotel Engineers Association of NYC, and others.
