Consulting-Specifying Engineer has announced the recipients of its 2014 40 Under 40 award. This award is given to 40 building industry professionals age 40 and younger who stand out in all aspects of their lives. Mark Knipfer of Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) was selected for this year’s list.
Candidates were nominated by a professional colleague or mentor and judged based on commitment to excellence in their academic, professional, personal, and community involvement. The May issue of Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine profiles each young professional, highlighting traits that lead them to continued success, recent professional projects, and personal achievements.
“These young professionals are the future of the industry,” said Amara Rozgus, Editor-in-Chief of Consulting-Specifying Engineer. “Now in its seventh year, the competition has increased in exposure, and the caliber of nominees has risen to an even higher level. Each winner truly deserves this recognition.”
A specialist in energy-efficient design and building energy modeling, Mark Knipfer has been involved in projects throughout North America, Mexico and the Middle East as Vice President of IES’ South Atlantic Division, including the LEED® Platinum 600 Brickell Financial Center in Miami, Florida.
