The Alliance of Independent Authors announces launch of Choosing a Self Publishing Service 2014 at Book Expo America
London (PRWEB UK) 21 May 2014 -- “There are sharks out there in the literary waters... This Guide gives you all the skills and information you need to comparison shop -- and if you are planning on successfully self-publishing, comparison shopping is essential.” - Victoria Strauss of Writer Beware.
Nonprofit writers’ association, The Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi), announces the launch of their guidebook for indie authors - Choosing A Self Publishing Service 2014 - at this year’s Book Expo America (BEA).
The guidebook, compiled by ALLi’s watchdog team - including Victoria Strauss, Mick Rooney and Giacomo Giammatteo - is a comparison of twenty of the key self-publishing service players. Featuring case studies, service analysis and the experiences of author-publishers and ALLi members, the guide is a timely and indispensable source of knowledge for anyone considering self-publishing as an option. The guidebook also shows author-publishers how they can make informed and empowered decisions about their publishing future, offering insight and impartial advice on key comparison points and criteria for selecting a service.
The launch of the guidebook will coincide with ALLi’s schedule of events at this year’s Book Expo America [link to calendar], with an award to the top self-publishing service in The Author Hub and printed copies made available to all attendees of UPublishU, through IngramSpark.
Alongside the launch, ALLi will also have a presence throughout BEA, with education seminars scheduled in the Author Hub and at the uPublishU conference.
ALLi will also be on hand throughout the fair to offer advice and guidance for their members and other attendees.
“I’m personally looking forward to meeting ALLi members, advisors and friends in New York,” Orna Ross, director of ALLI said, “And delighted to be launching the latest update of our services guide at the new Author Hub at BEA. Many authors feel paralysed by choice when faced with the array of self-publishing alternatives before them. Our watchdog team have done the hard work of research and comparison, so we can point a clear pathway through the rapidly changing, and often confusing, landscape of author services.”
