New York, NY (PRWEB) May 20, 2014

While the benefits of multi-unit franchise ownership is plenty, the path to success is riddled with many challenges that franchisees of one or few units don’t typically face.

To help multi-unit franchisees navigate the treacherous waters, MFV Expositions, the International Franchise Association (IFA) and Franchise Update Media are teaming up to produce the first-ever Regional Multi-Unit Franchisee Summit on June 18, 2014 at The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Held the day prior to the popular International Franchise Expo (IFE), which takes place June 19-21, the goal of the Regional Multi-Unit Franchisee Summit is to provide a platform for growth-oriented multi-unit franchisees to network, learn and become inspired.

“We want to help multi-unit franchisees clear the hurdles that are unique to them,” said Tom Portesy, president and CEO of MFV Expositions. “This conference is designed to generate thought-provoking ideas and strategies that will help attendees overcome obstacles in key areas of their franchise operations.”

The regional summit will provide a workshop-oriented environment that covers:
-Owning your market for optimal growth (trade area demographics);
-Real estate (lease negotiations and re-negotiation);
-Effective local marketing programs (local store marketing in urban areas);
-Delivering on your promises (outstanding customer service);
-Selecting and implementing additional brands;
-Building talent and infrastructure to meet growth demands; and
-Federal and state legislative threats to small business.

This one-day event is a condensed, more localized version of Franchise Update Media’s Multi-Unit Franchising Conference in Las Vegas, which has quickly developed into a must-attend event in the franchising industry.

“There’s no other expo like this in the tri-state area,” added Portesy. “With many multi-unit franchisees already planning to attend IFE, this is a great opportunity for them to join peers at a special, high-level educational event created to support multi-unit franchisees in developing their brands and growing their portfolios.”
