A Camp To Keep Kids’ Mind Fit During Summer Holidays
(PRWEB) May 27, 2014 -- ALOHA Mind Math is organizing a summer camp to keep children proficient in Math and English until schools resume.
As the school term comes to an end, children will be yearning for the summer holidays. Books and stationary will be forgotten for the next two months as children will be glued to their televisions and other electronic gadgets.
ALOHA understands the need for youngsters to participate in more productive activities during the holidays, and to keep them ready and in practice until schools reopen. The main idea behind the program is to get children well prepared for the new academic year by organizing activities that will continue to enrich their learning throughout the summer.
One of the main features to look forward to at this year’s camp is the summer reading program, which will make reading an enjoyable experience using a well-structured curriculum. The program aims to help children with the following:
• Analyze characters from various literary texts.
• Explore different genres.
• Develop reading strategies to distinguish between texts on the basis of Fact and opinion, Cause and effect and aid them to draw conclusions.
• Critically analyze text.
• Constructive comprehension building
• Use new vocabulary in the correct context.
• Engage in writing activities to assess the understanding of the theme and plot.
• Foster an overall love for reading.
Mani Manickavelu, CEO and President of ALOHA Mind Math, believes that children will benefit greatly from this summer camp as it will keep them ahead of their peers once they get back to school.
Registrations have already begun, so for more information regarding the Summer Camp check with your local ALOHA center.
