Mashable, the leading media company for the Connected Generation and the voice of digital culture, announced today that it has hired Judah Wiedre as its Advertising Director for its new Los Angeles-based office.

Mr. Wiedre brings almost a decade worth of digital and experiential marketing expertise to Mashable. He joins the company after spending over three years as a Vice President of Digital Sales at Flavorpill Media, and will be responsible for both advertising sales and monetization in the Los Angeles and Southern California areas.

“Judah has a proven track record of success in creating innovative and highly impactful marketing concepts for brands, which will make him a great addition as Mashable looks to further serve both its current and prospective advertising partners on the West Coast,” said Seth Rogin, Chief Revenue Officer of Mashable. “We are very excited to have Judah join the company and continue to expand our growing Los Angeles team.”

Mr. Wiedre joins a Los Angeles-based team of: Josh Dickey, Entertainment Editor, Andy Fixmer, Special Projects Editor and Sandra Gonzalez, Senior TV Writer. The Los Angeles area is currently Mashable’s third largest market globally and has been been identified as a strategic growth opportunity for the company.

Mashable continues to create innovative partnerships with brands, offering an integrated set of advertising products, including its proprietary Brand Lift technology, premium branded content, community challenges, and display advertising allowing its partners to reach the Connected Generation on the platforms they use the most.

Led by Updata Partners, Mashable closed its $14 million Series A capital raise in February. The funding continues to be used to bolster Mashable’s editorial operations, grow its global audience, develop new technology products, as well as open a larger headquarters in New York City and a new London office, which will both take place later this year.
