. . . BEI customers will enjoy outstanding service while gaining a major technology advantage thanks to Total’s extensive product line and resources
East Hartford, CT (PRWEB) May 22, 2014
Total Communications, Incorporated, a regional leader in business IT and communication technology, today announced the acquisition of the voice and data division of Business Electronics, Incorporated (BEI) of Cheshire, Connecticut. BEI has provided telephone systems and call recording technology since 1976. Under this agreement, Total Communications acquired BEI’s telephony customer base, inventory and technical / sales staff.
“With this acquisition we can help BEI customers realize the maximum benefit from their communications systems. Total can take their technology to the next level with remote monitoring and diagnostics, data center technology and virtualization. We also offer carrier services, wireless networks, videoconferencing solutions, computer support and Internet services, giving customers the ease of a “one company, one call, approach,” comments Richard Lennon, President and CEO of Total Communications.
“In making this transition, assuring continuity of service for our customers was critical. Now our customers will continue to enjoy outstanding service while gaining a major technology advantage thanks to Total’s extensive product line and resources,” according to Charles Garlock, President of BEI. The arrangement will allow BEI to focus on maintaining and growing their superiority in providing call recording solutions to larger corporations and municipalities.
Today, companies rely on their IT/telecommunications vendor to keep their critical voice and data systems up and running, even in the face of extreme weather events and power outages. Delivering maximum uptime requires deep resources and broad experience. Total Communications has made a major investment in facilities, staff, and certifications, such as their 2 Network Operating Centers (NOCs), 35 certified technicians/engineers, and Cisco Master Unified Communications Specialization. Prior to this merger, Total Communications has been one of the largest Mitel Solution Providers in the North East. The addition of BEI’s Mitel customer base strengthens that position and gives the company access to an even higher level of resources.
