The conference was held on Friday, May 16th at the Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville, Maryland. The Honorary Chair was Congressman Chris Van Hollen. Over 800 organizations, which do business with government and prime contractors, attended. The agenda began with registration and networking and an opening ceremony. The rest of the conference included Breakout Sessions, Matchmaking, Business Coaching, and an Expo Hall where 85 government agencies, prime contractors and professionals in the industry exhibited. Several breakout sessions, each in one-hour increments, were led by panels made up of purchasing officers from federal agencies, stage/local government, and professionals in the government space. Attendees participated in ten minute sessions of matchmaking with prime contractors and federal/state/local government. Business coaching, referred to as speed mentoring, was conducted by experts with a variety of backgrounds such as accounting, HR, Compliance and Project Management.
