Protection 1, the largest full-service business and home security company in the U.S., today announced it has been honored with the Mission 500 Corporate Social Responsibility Award for 2014. Protection 1’s more than 70 offices across the country work locally to improve and serve their communities, while the company holds national events to energize these efforts. This program, called "1 For All," embodies Protection 1’s focus of exceptional service that differentiates the company in its industry.
The program was created at the end of 2012 and began by asking each of Protection 1’s then 2,500 employees to donate 10 hours of time to serving their community. Since that time, the program has impacted over 150 local and national charities, meeting their goal and donating more than 25,000 hours of service.
“Our ‘1 For All’ program is a great example of the passion of our employees. We care about making our communities stronger and impacting the lives of people around us in a positive way,” said Jamie Haenggi, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer. “Our culture is known for having high expectations and a focus on the customer; this is an external representation of our internal focus on customer service. We are proud to be recognized by Mission 500 and appreciate the work they do. We look forward to many more projects that serve individuals, families and businesses across the country.”
"1 For All" Annual Events include:
-Food For All Month – a national food drive that collects and donates to local organizations. In 2013, more than 25,000 pounds of food were collected and donated to local food banks across the country.
-All For 1 Day – a service day where offices nationwide identify and fill a need within their local community. In 2013, the company contributed nearly 1,500 hours of service and raised almost $15,000 for local and national charitable organizations.
-Local efforts included the Hero Run which raised $30,000 for the Wounded Warriors Family Support program.
