Kapstone Medical Launches “IP Fit,” a New Intellectual Property Initiative

He adds, “This is why I have made the decision to integrate IP support internally, and asked my friend, Diane Dobrea, to join our team, as our in-house legal counsel and IP specialist. The result is the creation of “IP Fit,” an innovative proprietary method designed as a step-by-step guide to IP protection and value creation.”
Diane Dobrea has 20 years of experience providing legal counsel and business advice relating to intellectual property and technology commercialization. She started her career as an associate general counsel at the Cleveland Clinic, where she focused on identifying, protecting, and licensing medical device and biotechnology innovations. In subsequent roles as a law firm partner and as a corporate IP attorney, she focused on all aspects of IP protection, portfolio development and management, and IP transactions. Diane earned her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Biochemistry and her JD from Case Western Reserve University. She is also admitted to practice before the USPTO.
Kapstone will be exhibiting at OMTEC - http://www.omtecexpo.com (i.e. Orthopaedic Manufacturing & Technology Exposition), June 11-12th in Chicago, Booth #708. Intellectual Property will be a major topic of the event, and Diane will not only share her ideas with visitors to Kapstone’s booth, but she will also participate as a panelist in an educational session, "IP Due Diligence from Product Idea to Launch.”
