Massachusetts Business Leaders to Join Massachusetts Governor in Developing New Partnerships on largest U.S. trade mission to Israel ever
(PRWEB) May 23, 2014 -- New England-Israel Business Council (NEIBC) will be sending 100 leaders from a wide cross section of industries, including energy and water technology, cyber security, academia, financial services, and life sciences on a business delegation to Israel, along with Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick.
The goal of the trade mission is build strong connections between the business and academic communities of Israel and Massachusetts, an effort that was cultivated during a previous trip to Israel in 2011 by the Governor.
A NEIBC recent study surveyed the multi-billion-dollar impact of Israeli-founded companies on the Massachusetts economy. According to that study, Israeli-founded companies in Massachusetts, during 2012, generated $6.2 billion in revenue and employed 6,700 people. The study also pinpointed that the growth rate of Israeli companies in Massachusetts is five times that of Massachusetts economy as a whole.
The business mission will be anchored by the U.S.- Israel CONNECTED Summit, a two-day event in Tel Aviv and Herzliya Israel.
The summit will bring together hundreds of American and Israeli academic, business, and government leaders to participate in industry-specific discussions on topics including medical devices, neuroscience, Internet of Things, eHealth water tech, and cyber security.
