“Our goal is to provide the students with hands-on, real-world experience that will supplement their academic course load and give them insight on marketing as a career path,” said Carmen Sigman, SEO Specialist.

Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) May 22, 2014

J.M. Field Marketing, a full service marketing firm that offers numerous fulfillment and web services, has launched the start of their 2014 Marketing Internship program with the hire of two new interns that will assist with various in-house projects for J.M. Field Marketing and their cliental.

Trey Tyrell, a business major at UCF, and Marcos Hernandez, a political science major at Florida State University, will be concentrating on strategic SEO and social media campaign development this summer with the guidance of Carmen Sigman, SEO Specialist at J.M. Field Marketing.

“Our goal is to provide the students with hands-on, real-world experience that will supplement their academic course load and give them insight on marketing as a career path,” said Carmen Sigman. “There’s often a lot we too can learn from hearing the fresh perspectives of our interns,” she added.

So far, the interns have begun learning how to use Google AdWords and other tools for marketing purposes, develop a social media campaign, create keyword rich content and analyze competitor sites for existing SEO efforts.

“J.M. Field Marketing covers such a wide and diverse spectrum of marketing services,” said Tyrell. “I have never come across a company that functions in so many different facets, and I find it very interesting and am eager to jump right in. I expect that by the end of the summer, I will be well-versed in the many different aspects of marketing, and carry these tools with me for the rest of my career.”

Hernandez commented, “Prior to my internship here at J.M. Field, I would have never had the hands-on experience of using Google as a business tool. Seeing how Google is universal, I expect to bring this newfound knowledge I have into the workforce, regardless of what field I may end up in.”

All interns at J.M. Field Marketing will receive the opportunity to work in different departments with a strong concentration in the marketing service of their choice. These internships specialize in graphic design, direct marketing, fulfillment, web design, online marketing and materials production. The internships are about 4-8 weeks long with a typical day starting at 8:30 am and ending at 5:30 pm. For the eight week program, interns can choose to spend a 1-2 weeks in each of these services or they can choose to spend the whole duration of the internship in one department.
