Cyber Security Training Company, The Hacker Academy, Develops a Complete Solution for CompTIA Continuing Education Program Participants
San Francisco, California (PRWEB) May 28, 2014 -- CompTIA, a worldwide leader in information technology certifications, has recently announced changes to their Continuing Education Program. This program is in place to ensure that CompTIA certified individuals meet requirements when seeking to keep their certifications current. This allows for continuous validation of the commitment to keeping current with industry trends and discoveries. The previous program required individuals to participate in a variety of activities to meet the CE requirements. With the new protocol in place, the cap has been eliminated on how many CEUs may be entered for a particular training activity, such as courses within The Hacker Academy.
This has enabled The Hacker Academy to extend its on-demand, cloud based course to certified individuals in a package that will give them a one-stop opportunity to remain certified. The Hacker Academy CompTIA CE Bundle provides the next step for A+, Network+, and Security+ individuals looking to dig deeper into their information security knowledge. This course meets at least the minimum requirements for these certifications, allowing individuals to remain certified, as well as begin to establish themselves as information security professionals.
“Expanding our engagement with organizations such as The Hacker Academy helps CompTIA fulfill one of its primary objectives – to prepare the IT workforce of today and tomorrow,” said Terry Erdle, executive vice president, skills certification and learning, CompTIA. “Together we can prepare a new generation of professionals, equipped with the right education, training and industry certifications to make a positive impact for the organizations that employ them.”
The Hacker Academy’s CompTIA CE Bundle gives participants 49 hours of content covering the multiple facets of penetration testing. The main objective is to ensure participants are exposed to the various types of scenarios they may see in real-world environments, and to demonstrate the appropriate tools and techniques used during each. Lectures are paired with labs where students can practice the skills they’ve learning in a virtual environment. A bonus, one-hour webinar, brings the grand total of CEUs that can be submitted to CompTIA to fifty.
