Gulf Shores, Alabama (PRWEB) May 24, 2014 -- Defender Technologies, LLC an affiliate of Defender Homes, Inc. had is second ribbon cutting followed by hosting a monthly meeting for the Baldwin County Homebuilders Association. Defender build the first affordable home in the United States to withstand hurricane and tornado wind up to 200 plus mph using technology developed in the Philippians. The home is not for sale, however, and is used to show how a beautiful home can be built and yet serve as a virtual storm shelter. The home was featured on the Homebuilder Tour of Homes.
What is particular different about this home is its ability to withstand other perils that are life threatening or destructive to property. The home is made from materials, including concrete that resist fire, termites, mold, soldiers ants, earthquakes, and is bullet proof. Yes, the structure has been tested to withstand bullets fired from a M-16 and 45 calibers weapons. George Williams, a Vice President of the Company stated that the technology is perfect for U.S. Embassies, and military barracks. Mr. Williams is a retired military officer, former DEA agent, and served abroad in hostile countries.
The Company is planning private showing for special agencies of the government by invitation. “The sole purpose of our technology is to save lives,” a spokesman for the Company said, “Had our technology been used in Moore, Oklahoma the school that was destroyed would still be standing with no loss of life,” he added.
The technology is available to any contractor or builder in the United States without any cost for the knowledge, as there are no franchise fees, or license fees charged by the Company. Training on how to become certified using the technology is free. Materials will be sold and technology disclosed only to persons certified by the company.
