A longtime sponsor of the event, Rue, Ziffra & Caldwell’s Marketing Director Jessica Eckelbarger is chairman of this year’s Ritz, and Carol Dascoli, a marketing specialist at the firm, is a board member.

“Carol and I are excited to be part of an event that helps so many children and youths,” Eckelbarger said. “Our sentiments are echoed by our firm, as Rue, Ziffra & Caldwell has been a major sponsor since 2011.”

Highlights of the event will include a champagne reception, a gourmet dinner, dancing and live entertainment by radio personalities DJ Tremble and Kaylee Hatcher of 103.3 WVYB. Features will be both silent and live auctions of a variety of donated items and offers.

The Honorable Raul A. Zambrano, Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge, accepting in absentia, will receive the Child Advocate of the Year Award for his support of local children, according to Children’s Home Society spokeswoman Leslie Fisk.

Other honors will be a Lifetime Achievement Award for Christine Davenport for more than 40 years of service, Corporate Partner of the Year to Florida Hospital, and Foster Parent of the Year to Alison Fetner, a Hawthorne foster parent who has cared for many children the past two years, Fisk said.

All proceeds from the gala will be used to help fund programs and services like foster care, group/residential homes, emergency shelter, independent and transitional living, mental health and counseling for nearly 3,000 abandoned, abused and neglected children and at-risk families.

Tickets are $100 per person and $2,000 for a reserved table of eight. For more information or to make reservations, contact Fisk at 386-304-7600, ext. 227, leslie.fisk(at)chsfl(dot)org or visit http://www.chsritzforkids.com.
