SnapSports® has been chosen as an official flooring provider for the 1st Annual AAU Las Vegas Memorial Day Tournament to take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Tarkanian Basketball Academy May 24-26,2014. The expansion to Las Vegas comes following several successful Memorial Day Tournaments held in Reno with this year’s competition expecting over 1000 teams. The ‘Jam On It’ Vegas event sets itself apart, however, in a big fashion – the tournament will host both basketball and volleyball competitors, boys and girls ages elementary through varsity. SnapSports ShockTower surface was chosen as the premium surface to accommodate the dual sport tournament.
“Unlike any other modular sports surfacing, the SnapSports ShockTower floors give us the best performance and safest playing surfacing for both our basketball and volleyball athletes to compete during the same event, simply not possible before SnapSports.” -Matt Williams, CEO Jam On It.
The 2014 AAU Jam On It Las Vegas Memorial Day tournament will feature over 90 teams competing on 15 ShockTower Championship Courts. The multi-patented ShockTower technology is the only surface on the market to incorporate a shock absorption system into the understructure of the floor. 16 individual shocks per square foot ease the impact on player’s joints, guaranteeing a safer surface for any sport including basketball and volleyball. The versatility and high performance of SnapSports’ product line has made them a favorite of athletes, coaches, and event facilitators.
“We are excited to have been chosen as the official multi-court for AAU’s Jam On It Dual Sport Tournament. SnapSports surfaces are engineered for athlete performance and protection throughout the play of ANY sport. We are ecstatic to be a part of this inaugural tournament and are looking forward to helping it grow over the next few years. " - Jorgen Moller, CEO, SnapSports.
